"Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" has North American premiere at New York Asian Film Festival

Following its successful screening in Cannes and record-breaking box office performance in Hong Kong, "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" had its North American premiere as the closing film of the 23rd edition of the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) on July 28. Film producer John Chong and actor Philip Ng introduced the film and participated in the post-screening questions-and-answers session, sharing behind-the-scene moments and other insights of the film with a sold-out crowd.

The film is one of 11 Hong Kong films featured at this year's NYAFF under the Hong Kong Panorama banner, supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, New York. This year's film selections included "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Love Lies", winners of the Hong Kong Film Development Council's 6th First Feature Film Initiative; and "Inexternal", which received support under the Council's Film Production Financing Scheme.

Among the Hong Kong filmmakers who attended this year's festival was the multitalented entertainer Nicholas Tse, who was presented with the prestigious Star Asia Award by NYAFF, for his dedication and breakthrough performances over the years. The NYAFF bestowed the Star Asia Lifetime Achievement Award on veteran actor Tai Bo, whose natural on-screen talent has earned him numerous awards. Other Hong Kong filmmakers in attendance at the festival included actresses Patra Au, Josie Ho and Kuku So; directors Chow Kam-wing, Sasha Chuk, Ho Miu-ki, Ray Yeung; and screenwriter Lam Tsz-ki.
